You can group items by course on tickets/orders using course tags.
Step 1 - Log into your Point of Sale Back Office with your email address and password.
Step 2 - Click on the Business name in the top right drop-down. This is the Franchise level view. Please don't click on the store name in the drop-down.
Step 3 - Click “Configuration” on the left-hand side of the page.
Step 4 - Click “System”
Step 5 - Click “Tags”. Here you will see all the tags that currently exist.
Step 6 - Click “Add” in the top right corner
Step 7 - Select "KDS Course Tag" as the type
Step 8 - Enter a tag code which can be a description of the tag which could be starter, main course, drinks or dessert.
Step 9 - Enter a number to highlight in which sequence the courses should appear. 1 being the first and so on.
Step 10 - Click “Save” in the top right corner to add the tag
Step 11 - Click "Configuration" on the left of the page
Step 12 - Click "Menus"
Step 13 - Click on the menu you wish to add course tags to
Step 14 - Click "Categories"
Step 15 - Click on the category where the items you wish to tag are located. (We advise adding course tags to all your menu items)
Step 16 - Select the item to highlight it in blue
Step 17 - Click the tag icon in the top right corner of the page
Step 18 - Choose the KDS Course Name Tag from the drop-down box
Step 19 - Click "Save" in the bottom right corner
Step 20 - Click "Save" and then "Back" in the top right corner
Step 21 - Click "Back" and "Close" until you reach the choose your menu page
Step 22 - Click "Publish" at the top of the page to finalise the changes
Go to your KDS screen
Step 23 - Click on the settings wheel in the bottom right corner of the KDS screen
Step 24 - Click "Display" on the list
Step 25 - Tick the "display course name" box
You will then be able to see course breakdowns on your KDS screen orders.
