What is it?
You can configure your tipping settings via the Flipdish portal. The portal allows you to enable/disable tipping for specific stores should you wish this. It also allows you to configure the 5 tipping values your customers will see and lets you set a default tip rate. That default tip rate will be pre-selected for the customer when they load the checkout screen.
Configurable tips are currently available for our web-ordering and QR Code Order & Pay products. The configuration for our Mobile Apps will follow later this year.
What are the benefits?
- Quickly enable/disable tipping per store level
- Set 5 custom tipping values so your customers can tip you for the good service
- The ability to set a default tipping rate so that that tip value is pre-selected on the checkout screen
- You won't need to contact Flipdish Support anymore to do this for you and you can now do this easily in the Flipdish Portal
How does it work?
Step-by-step guide:
- Open your Flipdish Portal
- Go to the 'store' section in the left-hand navigation
- Open the store for which you would like to configure tipping
- In the sub-navigation, you will (towards the bottom) see "Tipping"
- In the tipping section, you can:
- Enable/Disable tipping
- When disabled, tipping will not show in your product
- Tipping will by default not show when selecting 'cash' as payment method
- Configure tipping values (value needs to be between 0-100%)
- Set default tip rate
- Enable/Disable tipping
