Step by step process for mounting a 24" Eco Service Kiosk with BBPOS card reader

 

Requirements: 

K2 24'' Eco Service Flipdish Kiosk

(Please ensure the base of your Kiosk matches the base in the image below, if not, you may have the K2 floor-standing Kiosk, and you can find more information on the setup by clicking here!)

Instructions: 

Step 1.

Please ensure all of the below contents are present.

• Baseplate

• The spine of the K2 Kiosk

• The K2 Kiosk. This should come with branded stickers

 

• The cover guard.

• The power cables for the Kiosk
• The card reader
• The power cable for the card reader
• Sticky pad for the back of the card reader

• 3 sets of bolts
• 6 x large bolts with washers
• 6 x Medium bolts
• 4 x small bolts
• 2 x Allen wrenches
• Arm and cradle for card reader

• The base extension.

Step 2.

Place the baseplate flat on the floor and sit the base extension on top of it using the largest bolts and washers to secure the 2 pieces together.

Step 3.

• Turn the kiosk so the screen is facing the floor.
• Place the spine on top of the kiosks and using the small black bolts.
• Secure the 2 pieces together.

Step 4.

Pick the kiosk screen up which has the spine attached to it and slot it into the base extension using the medium-sized silver bolts to secure the 2 pieces together.

 

Step 5.

Plug the grey wire into the back of the K2 kiosk and run it down to the base of the kiosk. There is a small hole where you can then run the cable out the back of the kiosks.

Step 6.

Attach the cover guard to the bottom of the kiosk. The base cover clips in on each side. You may have to apply some pressure so the clips catch.

 

Step 7.

Before attaching the backplate please first switch the kiosk on.

Step 8.

• There are two buttons on either side of the kiosk, please press both of them simultaneously and the front end of the kiosks should fall forward.
• There is another switch that needs to be turned on this can be seen in the bottom left corner of the second image.

BBPOS card reader mount

Step 1.

Please ensure all equipment listed below is present.

• K2 Card reader arm Mount
• K2 Card reader holder
• 3 x 4x 10mm Machine screws.

 

Step 2.

Please remove the black cap on the right-hand side of the kiosk exposing 3 screw holes.

Step 3.

Please secure the Card reader Arm to the mount using the 3 bolts provided. Please make sure it is secure.

Step 4.

Please attach the card reader cradle to the card reader arm.
              Ensure it is attached the same way as in the image below.

 

Step 5.

Please apply the sticky pad that comes with the card reader to the back of the card reader and push the card reader into the cradle. It should then be hard to remove.

 

Step 6.

Plug the charging cable into the card reader.

Step 7.

Remove the back of the kiosk. You can do this by pulling down on the 2 clips see in the image below. The clips are at the top of the back of the kiosk.

 

Step 8.

Once the back of the kiosk is opened you can then plug the other end of the charging cable into the back of the kiosk.

Step 9.

Please place the cover of the kiosk back on. The cable will be sticking out as in the photo below.
            Please apply pressure to close the back of the kiosk.

 

K2 Set up

Step 1.

Select the “Start setup button”.

 

Step 2.

Select the country that the kiosk is located in.

 

Step 3.

Select the timezone the kiosk is in.

 

Step 4.

Select a Wi-Fi network and input the password.

 

Step 5.

Press the skip button on the bottom center of the screen.

 

Step 6.

Press start configuration on the bottom center of the screen.

Step 7.

Press "Enter the system" at the bottom centre of the screen.

When a 6 digit code appears on the screen, you can use this to add your kiosk to the Flipdish portal.
