If you use a Flipdish website for accepting orders online, then you don't need to do anything to have Apple Pay as a payment option for your customers at checkout. It will appear automatically.
If, however, you use Flipdish's embedded web code to accept orders on your own website, then there's just one extra step you need to take.
Download this domain association file and host it at /.well-known/apple-developer-merchantid-domain-association on your site.
For example, if your website is mexicancafe.com
, the file above needs to be accessible at https://mexicancafe.com/.well-known/apple-developer-merchantid-domain-association
.
You can check that you have deployed this file correctly and entering this in the browser address bar. If the file is deployed correctly if will either download this file, or display the contents of this file on screen. If the file is not deployed correctly you browser will typically give you an error page such as "404 not found".
Once the above step is complete, please email help@flipdish.com to notify us and we will enable Apple Pay on your website.
We have a step by step guide for the two main ways this can be added to your website:
1. Using Cpanel or similar server software.
2. Use an FTP/SFTP connection.
For both you will first have to download the domain association file.
