Flipdish allows you to create multiple delivery zones for each of your stores. Each zone has an associated delivery fee and minimum order value.
The Flipdish system automatically assigns the delivery zones based on the address provided by your customer during online ordering flow.
In the case where multiple delivery zones will apply for the address provided by your customer, the system will choose the zone with the lower delivery fee.
ℹ️ Please note that in the scenario where multiple delivery zones apply for a given address the system doesn't currently take into consideration minimum order value.
To get started, visit the Flipdish Portal and select Stores -> Your store -> Delivery settings.
On this screen, you will be able to add, edit, temporarily disable or remove delivery zones.
Adding delivery zone
In order to add new delivery zone, click + button located in the bottom right corner of the floating Delivery zones box.
In the box that appears, please define the minimum order value in your local currency, delivery fee in your local currency and shape of the delivery zone: circle or polygon.
If you selected Circle, a new colorful circle with a default radius will appear on the map with your store in the middle. In order to adjust the size of the circle hold and move one of the white dots on the edge of the circle:
To move the shape, click and move the white dot in the middle of the circle:
Polygon option allows you to create any bespoke shape of a delivery zone that you want.
If you selected Polygon shape option, a new colorful square with a default radius will appear on the map with your store in the middle. In order to change the size and shape of the delivery zone, hold and move one of the white dots on the corners and edges of the square:
By dragging and dropping the corners of shape, you can create any bespoke shape that you need. This is especially useful eg. when you deliver food only to a selected streets, or when you want to exclude bodies of water or parks from your delivery area. See an example below:
If you want to move the shape, you cannot do it after you apply changes to the original square shape. We suggest to first move the square as soon as you add it using the middle white dot (click and move) to a desired place, and then start applying changes to the shape.
Editing delivery zone
To edit existing delivery zone, please first select the delivery zone you want to edit from the list, which will immediately highlight the relevant zone and the editing white dots will appear on the shape.
To edit the minimum value order or delivery fee, please click on the relevant delivery zone in the white Delivery zones popup and use up and down arrows next to relevant value to change it, or click on the value and type a new one.
Disabling delivery zone
You can disable delivery zone, which will not remove it permamently, but hide from view and it won't be used to apply delivery fee to clients orders.
In order to disable delivery zone, please use the three dots menu next to the relevant delivery zone on the list in the floating white box and click Disable option.
To enable previously disabled delivery zone, please follow the same steps, but click Enable option.
Deleting delivery zone
If you want to permanently delete a delivery zone, please use the three dots menu next to the relevant delivery zone and click on the Delete option. You will see a confirmation box with Remove and Cancel options. Once you delete the delivery zone, there is no way to bring it back, so please use this functionality with caution.
Disabling delivery service
Lastly, it is important to know that if you disable or delete all delivery zones, or do not have any delivery zones enabled, then the delivery service will be disabled for the store.
