- Flipdish Windows POS app.
Unlike the Flipdish terminal or the Portal - the Flipdish Windows app previously did not allow you to add custom lead times for incoming orders. Instead, the Flipdish Windows app uses default times that are set in the Flipdish system and are automatically added to incoming orders. These times are outlined below:
Using the Flipdish Windows app with a point-of-sale integration:
Day |
Collection |
Delivery |
Monday - Thursday |
20 minutes |
45 minutes |
Friday - Sunday |
25 minutes |
55 minutes |
Using the Flipdish Windows app as a standalone system and not connected to a point-of-sale integration:
Day |
Collection |
Delivery |
Monday - Sunday |
45 minutes |
45 minutes |
Using the Flipdish Windows app with daily custom lead times:
Now you can add daily custom lead times to your Flipdish Windows app for both delivery and collection. Once this is selected, these times will be added to any incoming orders and the appropriate ETA time will be communicated to the customer. This feature works when using the Windows app as a standalone solution or with a point-of-sale integration.
Step 1: Login to the Flipdish Windows app, navigate to the 'Lead Times' dropdown and select 'Override lead times (minutes)'
Step 2: Insert the custom lead times you would like to use each day for collection and delivery. These can be updated at any point. These times are how long on average your store needs between when the order comes in until it will be ready for collection or delivery.
Step 3: If you have Pre-orders enabled for your customers, then for the optimal user experience, you will need to ensure that the lead times being used on the Portal are the same as what is being used in the Windows app where possible.
Portal > Store settings > Pre-order settings
Edit the pre-order lead time to match the time you are using in the POS app.
