The Web Ordering system is customisable in the following means:
- Set the highlight colour and the font
- Customise the ordering system using CSS
- Hire Flipdish to customise the ordering system
Set the highlight colour and the font
The highlight colour of the ordering system is set in the portal. This can be edited by going to Flipdish Portal > Settings > General > Colour
One font can be set for the ordering system, but please note that it should be readable. There are 2 methods to select the font:
- Choose a font from fonts.google.com (Flipdish supports most Google Fonts)
- Send the font family for a font that is already on your website
To apply the font please send the chosen font to help@flipdish.com.
Customise the ordering system using CSS
If the ordering system is Embedded on your website, you have the option to customise it using CSS. Please note though that it will require advanced knowledge of CSS, and you may need to update the code when new features are released.
In this instance, we would recommend adding custom styling to the <head> of the webpage.
Please be aware of the following:
- The classes that use Budapest, such as class="budapest23" are dynamic and can change with every page load. We do not recommend targeting these classes.
- The ordering system is added to a lot of different websites, and to reduce conflicts, it uses the important rule frequently. The best method to target an element is to add additional classes.
Example: The H1 headings for pages use .container h1. To overwrite this one can add an additional class from a parent element: .fd-page .container h1
Hire Flipdish to customise the ordering system
You can also hire Flipdish to do the customisations. Ideally what we receive is a document with how you would like it to look, customised in a photo editing tool or a new design.
Please note that we can only edit the styling of the website, and cannot change the functionality of the ordering system.
