A step-by-step process for setting up your KDS screen with your Flipdish POS

Requirements: 

• A KDS screen for your Flipdish POS KDS.

Instructions for setup: 

Step 1 - You should have received 2 boxes, one with the KDS and one with the stand provided you want the screen to be free-standing.

Step 2 -  Remove the KDS screen from its box and remove the plastic packaging.

Step 3 - Inspect the device to ensure there is no damage. Please contact the Flipdish team at help@flipdish.com if there is any damage to the device or the box after arriving at your location.

You will also find a power cable in the box. 

Step 4 - Remove the KDS screen stand from its box and remove any plastic packaging 

Step 5 - To mount the KDS screen on the stand, place the screen face down, and ensure the screen protector is still on the device to prevent it from being damaged 

Step 6 - Use the Allen key to remove the four screws at the back of the KDS 

Step 7 - Lift off the back panel and line up the four holes on the stand with the open four screw holes on the KDS, 

Step 8 - Screw in the four screws you previously removed, hand tighten first, and then use the Allen key

Step 9 - Attach the power cable to the power port underneath the KDS screen 

Step 10 - Press the button beside the power port to turn on the screen. Allow a few moments for the device to power on.

Step 11 - Remove the screen cover when the device is ready. 

Step 12 - Connect it to the Internet using a Wi-Fi by clicking in the bottom right corner on the Wifi icon or connect using an ethernet connection, as always we recommend using ethernet as Wifi can be unreliable in Kitchen environments. 

Step 13 - Open the Flipdish App once the device is connected to the Internet

Step 14 - Log in using the same code you use on your Point of Sale.
