This article will explain how to issue a staff meal in our point-of-sale system as your staff members may be entitled to a staff meal up to a certain set allowance. The parameters can be set up for you by the Flipdish team so please reach out to us at firstname.lastname@example.org to do this for you.
A Flipdish Point of Sale System
Steps - Starting at the login screen:
- Enter your pin to launch the home screen.
- Select “More”.
- Choose “Compliment”.
- Click “staff meal” to launch the sale menu screen.
- Choose the order items for the staff meal.
- Click exit once done.
Please note that if the cost of the meal exceeds the allowance, the difference will need to be paid for by the staff member by cash or card and you will not be able to exit the sales menu screen until the difference is paid.
Like in this case, the total order price is £11.98 while the staff meal limit is only £10. The difference of £1.98 needs to be paid by the staff member.
To finish the transaction when there is a price difference:
- Choose to pay the full amount.
- Click “Cash”.
- And then click “close”.
